Option 1: Hustle for the House

Register a team to participate in Hustle for the House, our family-friendly walk/run and festival! Hustle for the House is a signature fundraising event for RMHC Alberta.

Gather your team in person at our Calgary event on September 29th. This year we are excited to bring back a family-fun feel with activities and festival space hosted in the vibrant University District neighborhood!

Alternatively, connect your teams province-wide (and beyond) to walk, run, or stroll any distance virtually between September 21-28, 2024.

Be sure to email Jacqueline once you’re registered so this point is counted. Pledges raised may be used toward the Give More opportunity.

Option 2: Virtual Lunch & Learn

Book a 30 minute, no-cost, virtual Lunch & Learn between March 15th & August 31st (minimum 10 attendees). Develop a greater understanding of the ways RMHC Alberta supports families while they are on a medical journey for their sick or injured child(ren). Learn more about the Alberta Houses, the communities we serve, and how we support families with a home-away-from-home.

Home For Dinner

Volunteer for our Home for Dinner program and cook dinner for families staying at the Calgary House. A nutritious meal goes a long way after spending an emotional day at a child’s bedside in a hospital. A group of up to 8 volunteers will plan the meal, purchase the groceries, and cook approximately 60 portions to feed those staying at the House.

Groups typically spend $400+ with Home for Dinner, but the cost will ultimately depend on your choice of menu. One member of your group must attend an in-person orientation held at the Calgary House prior to participating in this opportunity.

To sign up for Home for Dinner, visit https://rmhcalberta.org/home-for-dinner/, click on Calgary, and create an account in our Volunteer Hub. Once your application has been processed, a member of our team will be in touch to schedule a date for your Home for Dinner orientation.

Email Jacqueline once your Home for Dinner date is confirmed to ensure this point is counted! This opportunity is eligible for a tax receipt.

Meals must have a confirmed date prior to the end of the September Games.

Gift of Togetherness

$1,000 minimum donation towards supporting RMHC Alberta. Your company will be awarded a point for a financial contribution of this amount. Funds raised via the Give Awareness and Give Back opportunities can count towards this high impact opportunity.
