New to the Charity Challenge?

Together, we are Canada’s lifeline

Employees, family & friends can help build Canada's blood supply by participating in the Calgary Corporate Challenge 2025: Canadian Blood Services Charity Challenge. Canadian Blood Services Challenge awards will be given to companies that accumulated 6 challenge points over the six-month period. This event is not restricted to employees. Therefore, blood donations by family and friends will count for your company. The Challenge begins March 1, 2025 and runs until September 6, 2025.

Registration for the Calgary Corporate Challenge: Canadian Blood Services Charity Challenge begins Feb 24th, 2025.

You can earn 1 CCC point for early registration (Feb 26th to April 30th, 2025).

Only companies/organizations that are registered for the Calgary Corporate Challenge 2025 will be able to join the Calgary Corporate Challenge: Canadian Blood Services Charity Challenge 2025.

2025 Giving Opportunities

Option 1: Receive 1 point for early registration between March 1st to April 30th.

Option 2: Virtual or In-Person Information Session
If you miss the registration period you can host a virtual or in-person information session coordinated at least 5 weeks in advance with Canadian Blood Services from March 1st to September 6th, 2025. Event will depend on the availability of staff. To book an info session, please email ccc@blood.ca
Option 1: Donate blood on statutory holiday weekends and specific impact days.
Receive 1 point when you book a group with a minimum 4 donors on at least three (3) of the following select dates:
- March 18,19, 20 (Impact Days from Christmas/Boxing Day) 
- April 21 - April 24 (Long Weekend special dates after Easter)
- May 20 - 22 (Long Weekend special dates after Victoria Day)
- June 30 - July 3 (Long Weekend special dates after Canada Day) 
- July 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 (Stampede week) 
- August 5-8 (Long Weekend special dates after Civic Holiday)  
- August 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, Sept 2, 3 (Last of Summer need days) 
Option 2: Donate 100% or more of your pledge goal.
The goal will be determined by the organization’s employee count. Company Captains must send official employee count to Canadian Blood Services representative at start of the challenge.

- 6 new donors for Blue, Green and Purple Division
- 12 new donors for Red and Orange Division

Donate by Cheque: To donate funds to Canadian Blood Services, as part of the CCC Charity Challenge, via cheque, please make cheques payable to Canadian Blood Services. Please include the donor’s employer name and a reference to the CCC Charity Challenge on the memo line or in an enclosed note.

As a registered charity, Canadian Blood Services issues charitable tax receipts for all eligible financial donations. You will receive your receipt automatically once your donation has been processed through the online system. For any special receipt requests, please contact philanthropy@blood.ca or 613-739-2339.
