Option 1: Voices of Child Advocacy – Attend our In-Person Staff & Partner Panel 

Join us for a Calgary Corporate Challenge-exclusive lunchtime panel downtown to learn about Calgary’s coordinated response to child abuse. Hear directly from Luna staff and partners as they share how law enforcement, medical professionals, and advocates work together under one roof to support children, youth, and families impacted by abuse. Through real-world examples and powerful stories, you’ll gain insight into the critical work being done to protect and empower children and youth in our community. 

By attending, you help amplify awareness of Luna’s coordinated model of care, strengthening community understanding and support for child advocacy in Calgary.  

The CCC Panel is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th, between 12:00-1:00pm. Location downtown TBD; light refreshments and snacks to be provided.  We kindly request a minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 employees per organization. Please email events@lunacentre.ca to secure your spot. 

Option 2: Learn about Luna from Anywhere – Attend a Virtual Information Session 

Register and attend one of three community Lunch & Learn sessions (virtual) to gain valuable insight into how Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre is transforming the response to child abuse in Calgary. You will learn how Luna brings together law enforcement, medical professionals, therapists, and advocates to support children, youth, and families impacted by abuse. 

These sessions will deepen your understanding of how Luna’s expertise reduces trauma, improves outcomes, and ensures brighter futures for vulnerable children and youth in our communities. Your participation helps strengthen the network of care for vulnerable children in our city. 

Grab your lunch, log on, and be part of the conversation that is changing young lives.

Webinars are being hosted July 15th, August 13th, and September 23rd between 12:00-1:00pm. These are virtual sessions hosted on Microsoft Teams. We kindly request a minimum of 5 per organization. Email events@lunacentre.ca to register your organization for one of the three webinars.

Option 1: Team Up to Make a Difference – Volunteer with Luna 

Gather your crew and volunteer as a team at one of Luna’s amazing events! Whether you're bringing the energy at Luna’s tent at the Servus Calgary Marathon (Saturday, May 23), helping on the links at Luna’s Over the Moon Charity Golf Classic (Thursday, June 11), or spreading cheer at A Winter’s Night (Friday, November 27), your team’s support makes a huge impact. Volunteer roles include setup, check-in, auction/raffle attendant, hole ambassador, cheerleader, usher, and more. 

Your team’s support helps us deliver successful, well-executed events that raise critical funds and awareness to support children, youth, and families impacted by abuse.  

We kindly ask for a commitment of 4-6 teammates. Email events@lunacentre.ca and let's make the magic happen!

Option 2: Get Creative & Give Back – Fundraise for Luna 

Plan your own fun and impactful fundraiser in support of Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, with the option to use our tap-to-donate terminal (“TipTap”).  

Some fundraisers include: 

• Office ice cream or bake sale 
• Stampede BBQ 
• Trivia Night 
• 50/50 Draw 
• Golf/Mini Golf tournament  
• Registering a team in support of Luna at the Servus Calgary Marathon 
• Creating a campaign through Benevity 

Every dollar raised together helps support children and youth who have experienced abuse. No fundraiser is too big or small; you bring the idea, and we’ll cheer you on.

Option 3: Help Stock Luna’s Child Space and Gift Room – House a Collection Box 

House one of our collection boxes at your office for two work weeks (i.e., 10 business days with a weekend between) and fill it with approved snacks for Luna’s Child Space, or toys to stock Luna’s Gift Room. As a reminder of the potential impact your giving can have, each collection box is decorated with the help of Luna clients. 

Your office’s contributions help ensure every child who comes to Luna can access snacks and choose a comfort item, helping them feel cared for and supported.  

Please note that boxes will be available for pickup or drop-off on Mondays and collected the following  Fridays (i.e., at your office for 10 business days and one weekend).

Option 1: Support a Child’s Healing Journey 

Every child deserves safety, support, and hope. With a $2,000 donation, you will provide one child with a full year of comprehensive, trauma-informed care, ensuring they receive the medical, legal, and emotional support they need to heal and thrive.

Option 2: Give Hope & Healing – Support a Family for One Year  

When a child experiences abuse, their entire family is impacted. With a $1,000 donation, you will provide a family with one full year of victim support services, ensuring they have the guidance, resources, and emotional care needed to navigate their healing journey. 

Your gift helps provide: 

• Compassionate support from trauma informed experts 
• Crisis intervention and emotional care for caregivers 
• Guidance through the legal system to ease the burden 
• Access to critical resources to help families rebuild and move forward

Option 3: Help a Child Find Their Voice – Support a Forensic Interview  

Your $500 donation will provide one child with a trauma-informed forensic interview, a crucial step in the healing process. These interviews are conducted by trained experts in a safe, child-friendly environment, helping children share their story without the fear of re-traumatization.

• A safe space where the child’s voice is heard and respected 
• Expert guidance throughout the entire process, helping the child feel comfortable and supported 
• A critical step in seeking justice and ensuring the child’s wellbeing

Option 1: Engage Early – Attend our Open House! 

Get a head start on the Charity Challenge my attending our CCC Open House! This in-person opportunity  allows your organization to learn directly about Luna’s work, connect with our team, and explore how your  engagement in the Charity Challenge helps raise awareness, build community support, and strengthen our  ability to serve children and youth. 

The Open House is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th, from 4:00-6:00pm at Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. We kindly request a minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 employees per organization. Please email events@lunacentre.ca to secure your spot. 

Option 2: Support Luna’s Events in a Meaningful Way – Donate an Item Today! 

Looking for a way to make a lasting impact while getting involved in Luna’s exciting events? You can donate an item or experience for our silent/live auction (min. $100 value) at the Over the Moon Charity Golf Classic OR commit to decorating and donating a holiday wreath to support A Winter’s Night in November.  

Donations like these are vital to the success of our events and help us raise critical funds that directly support the children, youth, and families in our community.
