The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis. Once the food emergency is addressed, we refer food bank clients to our Community Partners. Our deep collaboration and food support with many other charitable organizations that address the root causes of food insecurity aligns with our mission to work with our community to fight hunger.

2025 Giving Opportunities

Complete Giving Opportunities to earn points in the September Games standings!

Option #1: Take a Tour, Feed Your Soul
Get the inside scoop on how we feed up to 750 households each day! From the buzzing call center to the organized chaos of the food warehouse, you'll see it all—right up to the moment hampers are handed to grateful clients.
- Time: 1 hour of awe
- Group Size: Up to 10 fabulous humans
- Cost: Nada, zip, zero!
- Where: 5020 12 A St SE (Trust us, not your GPS)
- Photo Op: You bet!
Option #2: Lunch, Learn & Love It
Host us for a power-packed session where we spill the tea on food bank demand, quirky client choice stories, and how we’re turning the tables on hunger. A 20-minute presentation + Q&A = your new favorite lunch break.
- Time: 1 hour of brain snacks, on us
- Group Size: Any and all
- Cost: Free (because we love you); lunch for your team (because you love them)
- Where: Virtual or your office
- Photo Op: Absolutely!
Option 1: Volunteer and Feel Like a Hero
Roll up your sleeves and dive into a whirlwind of good vibes! Sort food, pack hampers, and leave with a heart full of joy (and maybe a little sweat).
- Time: 3 hours of hero work
- Group Size: 5-10 mighty do-gooders Team volunteer spots fill up fast! Book your team today!
- Cost: Free (but priceless, really)

Option 2: Build Mobile Hampers – Right Where You Are!
Turn your office into a mini hamper factory! Gather your crew, grab your reusable bags, and assemble hampers for unhoused community members.
- Time: 1 hour of team bonding
- Group Size: Any squad size
- Cost: ~$40 per hamper (small price, big impact)
- Where: Your office, your vibe
- Photo Op: Of course!
Option 3: Birthday Kits: Let’s Party!
Every kid deserves a birthday bash! Craft celebration kits with your team and deliver them to spread smiles and sprinkle joy.
- Time: 1 hour of party planning fun
- Group Size: Any crew size
- Cost: ~$25 per kit (priceless memories included)

Option 1: Host a Most Wanted Drive: Yahoo Edition
Saddle up for Stampede season! Run a collection drive for our "Most Wanted" items as part of the Put the
Boots to Hunger campaign. Think cowboy coffee bars, chili cook-offs, squash races, egg drops, and more!
- Time: Days of rootin’-tootin’ fun
- Group Size: As big as your posse
- Cost: Whatever you can wrangle
- Where: Your office rodeo
- Photo Op: Heck yes!
Option 2: CANstruction: Get Your Build On
Grab some cans, a big idea, and your colleagues, then construct something incredible! Whether it’s in your
office or at a shared event, challenge others and donate every can to the Food Bank.
- Time: A few days of architectural brilliance
- Group Size: Your dream team
- Cost: However, many cans it takes
- Where: Your office or a shared location
- Photo Op: Duh!
