Option 1: Hustle for the House 

Register a team to participate in Hustle for the House, our family-friendly walk/run and festival! Hustle for the House is a signature fundraising event for RMHC Alberta. 

As the run weaves through the beautiful University District, participants are cheered on from street level and above. The event itself even gives participants the chance to see the newly expanded Ronald McDonald House along the route. The Hustle’s fun atmosphere attracts hundreds of participants who can enjoy the buzz and energy on the route and at the family festival in Central Commons Park – the heart of University District. With entertainment, games, food, activities for all ages and more, the festival has something for everyone! 

Gather your team in person at our Calgary event on Sunday September 28th. Alternatively, connect your teams province-wide (and beyond) to walk, run, or stroll any distance virtually between September 20-28, 2024.

Be sure to email Lana once you’re registered so this point is counted. Pledges raised may be used toward the Give More opportunity. 

Option 2: Virtual Lunch & Learn 

Book a 30-minute, no-cost, virtual Lunch & Learn between March 14th & August 29th (minimum 10 attendees). Develop a greater understanding of the ways RMHC Alberta supports families while they are on a medical journey for their sick or injured child(ren). Learn more about the Alberta Houses, the communities we serve, and how we support families with a home-away-from-home.

Home For Dinner

Volunteer for our Home for Dinner program and help provide a comforting meal for families staying at Calgary House. After a long and emotional day at the hospital, a nourishing meal can make all the difference. 

As part of the ongoing expansion at Calgary House, we will be introducing a new model for the Home for Dinner program starting later this spring. More details will be available in the coming months. 

Please note that meals must have a confirmed date prior to the end of the September Games.  

Email Lana once your Home for Dinner date is confirmed to ensure this point is counted!

Gift of Togetherness

$1,000 minimum donation towards supporting RMHC Alberta. Your company will be awarded a point for a financial contribution of this amount. Funds raised via the Give Awareness opportunity can count towards this high impact opportunity. 

Please send us an email with the amount raised and your company name prior to the end of the September games so we can be sure to track this high impact point. 

Option 1: Complete one opportunity from each of the three giving categories. 

Option 2: Contribute a dollar amount above and beyond $1000 in the Give More category. 

Option 3: After registering a team for Hustle, challenge other companies to do the same by sharing our Proud Participant graphic on social media. Suggested copy: [Our company] is getting ready to Hustle for the House with RMHC Alberta and we're not slowing down! Have you and your team signed up yet? Show us what you’ve got and raise funds for families in need. Let’s see if your team can out-hustle ours for a good cause! (Proof of challenge required - email us a screenshot or link!).
