A Message from CCC's Executive Director, Dave Ford
Earlier this month, I tendered my resignation to the CCC Board of Directors. My last day with Calgary Corporate Challenge Association will be July 14, 2023, when I’ll be moving on to a new opportunity.
In my 9.5 years with CCC, I’ve had the privilege of working with some truly great people as co-workers, board members and volunteers. I’ve also been lucky enough to have the opportunity to get to know many fantastic individuals in other stakeholder groups (participants, captains, sponsors, etc.) that I hope to be able to stay in touch with beyond my current role.
Nearly a decade with an organization is not a short amount of time, and it will be essentially impossible for me to completely leave CCC anytime soon. Expect to see me in September in a volunteer capacity, helping out where I can with the September Games.
I couldn’t feel more certain that the organization (and the September Games) will be in good hands after my departure, as Jacquie Li moves into an interim Executive Director role. Jacquie has my full support and confidence that she’ll be able to steer CCC through the rest of this year and beyond. I know the CCC Board of Directors echoes this sentiment.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns about this transition, feel free to reach out to me over the next couple of weeks at dave@calgarycorporatechallenge.com. You can also contact our Board Chair, Adrienne Wong, at adrienne@calgarycorporatechallenge.com.
Thank you all for your support over the years, and best of luck in this year’s September Games!
